Saf-T-Cool 479

Saf-T-Cool 479 is a high performance universal bio-stable coolant. It utilizes state of the art ingredients to provide long sump life without the use of tank side additives. It forms a stable emulsion in a wide variety of waters, from treated DI/RO to very hard water sources. Saf-T-Cool 479 has low foam characteristics making it acceptable for use in high pressure and hi flow coolant systems. It has low misting characteristics creating a safe working environment. Saf-T-Cool 479 uses additive technology that provides the lubricity and cooling to get excellent tool life and surface finishes without the use of sulfur or chlorinated extreme pressure additives. Saf-T-Cool 479 is very good for running cast iron because of its elevated ferrous corrosion inhibitor package. Our Clean Fluid Technology use the coolant to constantly wash/rinse the machine as it runs eliminating any sticky residues and leaving a very light oily film on the machine surfaces. SF WAY LUBES are recommended as the machine lubricant to help maintain proper system health.

Usage

Saf-T-Cool 479 forms a premium quality micro-emulsion for machining and grinding all types of metals (except magnesium, pre-test on 7075 aluminum). Starting dilutions for machining operations should be between 5 10%. For grinding operations, the suggested starting dilutions should be between 4 6%. Make-up fluid is typically added at half the target concentration. For proper mixing it is recommended that Saf-T-Cool 479 concentrate be added to water with agitation.
