Saf-T-Cool 458

Saf-T-Cool 458 is a high performance, low oil, semi-synthetic, bio-stable coolant/lubricant formulated for recirculating systems. It utilizes state of the art ingredients to provide long sump life without the use of biocides or tank side additives. Foul odors and the typical Monday Morning (rotten egg) odors are eliminated. Saf-T-Cool 458 produces an extremely stable micro-emulsion in all types of water while rejecting tramp oil for proper removal. It has low foam characteristics making it very acceptable for use in high pressure systems, along with low mist characteristics creating a safe working environment. Saf-T-Cool 458 uses advanced generation additive technology for superior surface finishes plus increased tool life. It constantly rinses the machine as it runs eliminating any sticky residues and leaving a very light oily film on the tooling and machine surfaces. It features a very low carry-off on chips and parts reducing the overall coolant usage. Saf-T-Cool 458 has extraordinary hard water emulsion stability. SF WAY LUBES are recommended as the machine lubricant to help maintain proper system health.

Usage

Saf-T-Cool 458 is a premium micro-emulsion for machining, grinding, roll forming, tube mills, and metal forming operations. It is safe to use on all types of metal. Starting dilutions for machining operations should be between 5 10%. For grinding operations, the suggested starting dilutions should be between 4 6%. Saf-T-Cool 458 is normally used for roll forming and tube mills at 5 10%. Make-up fluid is typically added at half the target concentration. For proper mixing it is recommended that Saf-T-Cool 458 concentrate be added to water with agitation.
